This research project aims to preserve digital works created by media artists from selected case studies. These case studies are drawn from the archives of the project partners: the dLux archive at the Art Gallery of NSW (AGNSW); Experimenta‘s collection of media artwork at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI); the Griffith University Art Museum; and the Ostoja-Kotkowski archive held by the State Library of South Australia (SLSA), which also holds the ANAT archive.
A searchable database of media arts holdings in Australian collections is also being assembled for this project. Works can be identified by artist, media type, collection, and organisation.
