Case Studies

This project involves four case studies. Two focus upon the media artworks that were exhibited in the 1990s at the  Matinaze 97 and Virtualities events  The research involves locating the artworks that were exhibited, identifying best practice methods for their preservation, including emulation where possible, and interviewing the artists.  The third case study involves preservation of the work of Stanislaw Ostoja-Kotkowski held within the archives of the State Library of South Australia (SLSA), and the fourth involves accessioning the works held in the ANAT archive at the SLSA. In liaison with artists and partner organisations, research will ensure these works and associated research material will be appropriately conserved in the archives of Australia’s cultural institutions.
